QUESTIONS
Before you start
What is KUZE Creation?
KUZE Creation (KUZE CREATION ENTERPRISE) is a 3D-printing design studio in Perak, Malaysia. It makes free, browser-based design tools for 3D printing: Potforge for planters and pots, and Lampforge for LED desk lamps.
Are the KUZE tools free?
Yes, designing is free and needs no account (only textures made from your own photos do), and the ready-to-print designs download free. To download a design you changed, save it first with a free KUZE account, which keeps 3 designs in each tool for any use but selling. To sell your prints, one Commercial plan, paid monthly or yearly, covers every tool.
What file do I get?
An STL file, in millimetres, that opens in any slicer such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or Cura, for any FDM 3D printer. Lampforge gives the lamp shade and the LED base as two STL files.
Do I need CAD or 3D-modelling skills?
No. You pick a starting shape and move sliders, and the tool keeps the model printable. Everything runs in your web browser, with nothing to install.
Can I turn my own photo into a 3D-printable texture?
Yes, in Potforge and Lampforge, with a free KUZE account. Pick a JPG, PNG or WebP of something patterned, such as a weave, a carving or tiles, and drag a box over the pattern. The tool turns its light and dark into relief on the wall, finds the repeat so no seam shows, and you see the result on the 3D model before you download the STL. Each texture is kept in My textures: 3 on the Free plan, up to 100 on Commercial. The photo is processed in your browser; only the texture is kept. The photo texture guide goes step by step.
Can Potforge copy the shape of a pot in a photo?
Yes, and it needs no account. In Potforge, choose “Shape from a photo”, pick a JPG, PNG or WebP of a pot taken from the side and drag a box round it. Potforge traces the outline and gives your pot the same silhouette and proportions, keeping its width and taking the height from the photo, or from the real height you type. It also counts vertical ribs and finds rings round the pot, and can add them as relief. The photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded or kept. The shape from a photo guide goes step by step.
Can I sell what I print?
Yes, with the Commercial plan, paid monthly or yearly, which covers every KUZE tool. You may sell the physical prints; the STL files themselves may never be resold.
